I can’t blame Willow for her fears and frustrations at the game she thinks Nick’s playing with her. But the true concern in their relationship is that both Willow and Nick feel too much for each other and the reasons why Nick left all those years ago is something that might destroy any progress he makes with her, if she ever does truly allow him back into her life and her bed. Game for Trouble is the perfect title for Willow and Nick’s book because when they reconnect after Nick left her when they were younger, he causes nothing but distress for her by blackmailing himself back into her life and forcing her to go on 8 dates with him in order to get the building that she needs for her burgeoning business. Little does she know, Nick's playing to win - and she's the prize. But Willow's decided all's fair in sex and blackmail. When he offers to sell her his commercial space if she agrees to a series of dates with him, their chemistry is so scintillating that jumping back into bed seems like an inevitability. Nick may be at the top of his game, but all he wants is a second chance with Willow. Plus, she's got her heart set on a piece of real estate for her catering business - and Nick owns that property. Sure, their fling was the hottest she'd had, but he's way too much of a playboy to settle down with one woman. Willow Cavanaugh would be happy if she never saw cocky football star Nick Hamilton again. What a stable foundation for a long lasting relationship. He'll play dirty to get what he wants. She is still a whore (without any good reason for being so except that she wanted the money) and he is still a self centered prick. I hated their choices and they never overcame them. But this was poorly written, with unsympathetic and uninteresting characters.

I normally love a good Brazen quick read. Review 2: Based on the reviews below, maybe I read a different book? I can give this a one star without feeling guilty though. This one goes on the Favorite shelf for a quick re-read when I want to smile. I was rooting for an HEA for Sheridan and Jared the whole time - from page one I knew they were perfect together. It had a premise I love - marriage for the media - and it had just enough likable characters, attraction, tension and the perfect balance of sex and story. Review 1: Now this book had everything I have come to expect from an Entangled Brazen book.
